Opened in 1967, Bleecker Bob's Records was a dumpy yet iconic record store in New York City’s mercurial post-boho Greenwich Village. “Bleecker” Bob Plotnik was temperamental, but he knew his music, and he attracted many legendary artists. By the mid-80s, Bob opened a Bleecker Bob’s in Los Angeles, and both locations would keep “club hours”, staying open until well after midnight.

Opened in 1977, Turtle’s Records and Tapes was a Southern United States retail chain, based in Atlanta, that specialized in selling cassettes, records and concert tickets. Camping out in front of Turtle’s waiting for concert tickets to go on sale was a right-of-passage for most area teens.

With its modern, funky skull-themed décor, eclectic music and artsy interior, No Name Taco Bar in Fort Lauderdale specialized in Mexican street tacos. Their house-made sangria was a standout, along with fresh-made guacamole with chips, daily soups, quesadillas, tortas and enchiladas, using authentic recipes and house-made tortillas.
