The Avalon was a night club and music venue in Chicago. The Smashing Pumpkins played heir first-ever gig there, and frequented it in often their early years. The Avalon was known for its hip-hop presence, and notable acts to perform included De La Soul, Arrested Development, and A Tribe Called Quest.
